How does the Clorox® Home Flu Kit help stop flu virus?

The kit includes Clorox® Regular-Bleach, Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner with Bleach, and Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes which are designed to clean and disinfect hard surfaces. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) believes, based on available scientific information, that the currently registered influenza A virus products (including the three products above) will be effective against the the new 2009 H1N1 virus and other influenza flu strains on hard, non-porous surfaces, and the EPA has approved these products for that purpose, when used as directed.
 

Can I buy this kit at my local retailer?

No, the Clorox® Home Flu Kit is only available online for this flu season. We would love to hear your comments if you think the kit should be available at local stores.
 

Can you tell me about the Clorox® Hand Sanitizer? I have not seen that on store shelves.

Currently the Commercial Solutions® Clorox® Hand Sanitizing Spray is part of our commercial group of products, and is widely used in hospitals and by health care professionals. Formulated to kill 99.999% of germs*, this hand sanitizer is safe and pleasant to use.  The non-drying formula contains premium emollients that keep hands moisturized and soft without leaving a sticky or greasy residue  behind. The spray delivery provides excellent coverage and targeted application to areas such as fingernails and knuckles.  Commercial Solutions® Clorox® Hand Sanitizing Spray is a fragrance-free and bleach-free formula.  In addition to getting the Commercial Solutions® Clorox® Hand Sanitizing Spray through the flu kit, it can also be purchased at Staples and Office Depot.  

*Provides 5-log reduction in the organisms required by Food and Drug Administration's Tentative Final Monograph for Health-Care Antiseptic Drug Products (1994).
 

How soon can I get the Clorox® Home Flu Kit?

Due to Department of Transportation guidelines, these products can only be shipped by ground.  Orders placed online before 2pm EST will be shipped that day via UPS Ground service, or on the next business day if received after 2pm EST.   UPS estimates delivery to generally be from 1 to 5 days, depending on specific location within the United States.
